In autumn 2023, I came back to my favourite holiday place, Can Aparthotel, in Camyuva. It takes almost 24 hours to get here from home, but I couldn’t be happier to return. CAN means “heart” or “soul” in Turkish, and that suits this friendly, elegant, serene place. Taner Bey, the owner, is excellent with guests from all over the world. He’s ready to help even in his “free-no free” time, and that makes me feel safe throughout my holidays. The team always seems to look for ways to improve. “No problems!” is Taner Bey’s signature greeting whenever you meet him. A manager like that could add another star to any five-star hotel. My mother is very happy with the clean, well-kept premises and with how thoughtful the owner, Mr Can, has been. He offered to pick her up for free on the day she checked in and is doing all he can to make sure she feels comfortable and safe. I’m very grateful. Thank you.

The owner is a great person, and the location makes things easy: the sea is about an 8-minute walk away, with Migros (2), pharmacies, a post office, and bus and taxi stops nearby. The building has six apartments, but everyone has their own space and nobody bothers anyone. The pool was perfectly clean, and the grounds were lovely and well cared for. There’s also a barbecue area, and the furniture is new.
