Altin Yunus Resort & Thermal Hotel

The view from our room is gorgeous, and some of the people here have been genuinely kind. The breakfast team and kids club staff were warm and welcoming, and the hotel’s location is lovely. The rooms are dated, but in acceptable condition for an older property. Still, the problems have outweighed those good points, and we’ve decided not to extend our weeklong stay, even though we had a few days left. The biggest issue for me was the F&B manager at the beach and pool restaurant. He was rude and dismissive to us, and I also saw him speak harshly to his staff in front of guests several times. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional, especially at a family resort. Housekeeping has been inconsistent. Our room was never properly cleaned, and we even found trash swept under the bed. Water, towels, and toiletries were rarely replenished unless we asked repeatedly. At 10 AM one day, we asked the housekeeper to clean while we were at breakfast. She said she’d come after a few rooms. When we got back at 3 PM, nothing had been done. She still couldn’t come when I followed up, and though I explained that my baby needed a nap and asked at least for clean towels, nobody brought any. The room Wi-Fi barely works and won’t handle even basic use. The air conditioning is weak across the hotel. In the rooms it’s centrally controlled, so we couldn’t adjust it, and it didn’t cool things enough in summer. There’s no AC in the hallways, and the breakfast area’s air conditioning was switched off after 10:30 AM, which seemed like a way to get guests out. With temperatures above 40°C, that’s especially inconsiderate to elderly guests, pregnant people, and families with kids. I also once needed milk for my baby and asked the restaurant for a cup, then got charged 120 TL. That feels unfair for such a basic item. Altın Yunus could be a great place, with its setting, views, and kind team members. But the cleaning, cooling, Wi-Fi, and staff management need serious improvement before I could recommend it.
