The location is great, and the room is cozy, but it’s only 5-6 square meters, with a double bed and bathroom. There’s no closet, so you can’t really unpack your suitcase. The photos make the small rooms look promising, but in person they’re very mediocre. It’s cheap, and if all you need is somewhere central in Alaçatı to sleep and get hot water, you can stay here and eat breakfast outside. The roads are very narrow, so be careful. Our car got scratched, but thankfully we had no other problems. We called to confirm and asked to book with breakfast, but they said there was a problem and wouldn’t let us do that. Instead, they said we could pay a deposit and the rest at check-in, so we agreed. We heard them having the same sort of calls with other customers, since the windows and walls are so thin. During our stay we weren’t given breakfast, and at one point we couldn’t reach anyone for a whole day. We only managed to speak to them that evening, when we were about to ask about staying another day. They said we couldn’t get breakfast, that no one could be reached, and that our father was supposed to come. Can Bey, perhaps because he’d been drinking, said, “We don’t have breakfast, we have free rooms,” as if that made up for it. He was nothing like the man we’d met when we arrived. He doesn’t seem like a manager, more like an organizer chasing after a scene for his own fun. Even though Can Muskara is a great guy to hang out with in a friendly way, the business feels like it has no owner. A reply appeared 8 months later, probably written from the father’s side. Go and see for yourself, uncle, and you’ll understand what I mean. There’s no breakfast or anything. Your son is off chasing women and says to send the money to him, not his father, just so you know.

We gave up our deposit and left. The breakfast was awful, and the room wasn't clean when we arrived. There was a clump of hair in the sink. When I asked for it to be cleaned, they put the hair in the toilet and shut the lid, so we found it there when we tried to use the toilet. There were no female staff, and the elderly gentleman we contacted did the cleaning, but not properly. Whenever we raised problems with him, he wouldn't acknowledge the hotel's shortcomings, and we couldn't reach an agreement. The hotel was a disaster: extremely dirty, tiny rooms, patched sheets, a terrible shower head and no shower cabin, with water leaking from above. Four years have passed, and after visiting many countries, cities and hotels, I've never seen anything this bad. My review came up again, and I couldn't resist posting it. I hope things have improved somewhat.

We told them we'd stay for 2 days instead of 3, but they still tried to charge us for the night we didn't use. Breakfast also had to be requested every day, and when we said we wanted it, they responded with a ridiculous tone, asking what time and so on. The place felt mediocre and stingy. There's no fridge in the room, so we asked them to store our ice packs in their own cabinet. They grumbled but did it, and almost half the packs were lost. Cleanliness was a serious issue too, the toilet hadn't been cleaned when we arrived.

After seeing the rooms, we changed our minds. They're extremely small, with barely enough space to get your suitcase through the entrance, and I don't think two people could fit in the double beds. The hotel is the lowest priced in Alaçatı for what you get. Our reservation through Hotels.com had been confirmed and guaranteed, but the hotel said they had no record of it. The owner's son was polite and understanding and did try to help.

The hotel owner's son arrived later and was polite and tried to look after us, but technical issues meant we had to leave. Before that, we waited outside for half an hour with nobody there. Although we had booked and received a confirmation code, they said there was no booking and that they had no system like that. The online information is unclear too. Rooms are only about 6 square meters, with hardly any room to move, and the beds are sized for about one and a half people. Couples or two women would have to share one.
