Igneada Resort Hotel & Spa

The food was tasty, and for what you pay, the all-inclusive setup feels fair. The beach was clean, and the resort itself was calm. We had a very pleasant stay, though I’d rate it four stars rather than five since it doesn’t measure up to other five-star hotels. The service, though, was amazing.

The grounds and location are excellent, but the rest was very poor. Reception staff weren’t friendly and refused to move me to another room even though the hotel was empty. I called housekeeping three times, and they arrived two hours later; the cleaning they did was bad. The restaurant was dirty, and food left from the previous day was served. I got the feeling the staff weren’t happy with their situation, and that came through in how customers were treated.

The staff were great, and I was impressed by how honest the management was. I’d booked through the hotel website without knowing what the price should be. After I called and heard different rates, they accepted my cancellation and charged me a very fair price, since the hotel was being renovated and I hadn’t known. The heating and hot water needed more attention and better service, and the TV needed configuring because it wasn’t working properly. If you’re going to Igeada or demirköy, this is definitely a choice.

I went in October, after the season had ended, so it was very quiet. Cows were wandering along the beach. The location of İğneada is a long way from the center, which makes getting there difficult in an emergency. For that reason, I won’t come back.
