Avşa itself was beautiful, but we regret staying here. We were two women, and the way we were treated as outsiders was unpleasant. I saw the comment about an “Istanbul gentleman” before we went, but that wasn't our experience at all. We also saw some positive reviews and I believe they came from people the owners know, based on what I witnessed. The stove was old and moldy, and it leaked gas. You could smell it as soon as you entered the room. When we checked out half an hour late, even though the rooms were empty, they demanded extra money. The manager scolded us and raised his voice, and the owner's angry expression was appalling. If being shouted at over a half-hour delay sounds acceptable to you, then choose this place.

The location was near both the sea and a market, but the rooms were in very poor condition. We expected air conditioning and there wasn't any. When we were an hour late checking out, they practically kicked us out, and the way they acted was completely inappropriate.

My first visit to Avsa Island, and the place was quiet with clean rooms. Apart Deniz3 is very close, and BIM supermarket is just 10 meters away. The owner was helpful with everything, and it felt like great value for money. I'd happily recommend it, and we'll come back in August...

Papatya Apart has made my list of places I can recommend. I liked the comfortable feel of the guesthouse, and the rooms were both spacious and clean. It's in a really nice location too.

It was cheap, so the reasonable price could make it a decent option. The house felt old, the rooms weren't especially clean, and the neighborhood was very noisy.
