The apartment had a spacious layout, with two rooms, a kitchen/living room, and a large balcony, plus all the appliances and utensils we needed. It's 100 meters from the main building with the pool and restaurant. That area seemed to be mostly European retirees who had their own atmosphere and didn't welcome outsiders. The place was extremely run down. There was black mold in the bathroom, and the shower doors wouldn't stay in place. I'm sure they'll fall on someone one day. The air conditioner and TV remotes were broken, and the batteries didn't work. The linen was stained, though it felt clean and seemed to have been changed before we arrived. Instead of blankets there were rags, and it wasn't clear when they'd last been washed. The balcony clothes dryer was rusty. Tiny ants appeared everywhere, even on our things, and the trash can was already occupied by ants before we put it out on the balcony. The apartment needs pest control. We couldn't sleep in the room with two beds because they were covered in insects. I slept on the living room sofa, which is in the photo, and put towels over it because they were the only thing that made it feel less disgusting. We didn't feel safe. We checked in, drove to a store for about 40 minutes, and came back to find the door unlocked and signs that someone had entered. The hair dryer had been moved and was plugged in. The detergent box had been on the washing machine, but was moved to the sink, and the machine was plugged in and connected to the wall, though we hadn't planned to use it. The first photo shows where the dryer and detergent box were when we arrived; another shows their different positions later, along with the plugged-in appliances. The owner hasn't responded to my review about dirt, unwashed bedding, mold, ants, shower doors falling, and the rusty dryer. There's nothing to say, since the photos show it all. I haven't accused anyone of trespassing, as I'm not an authorized body. I've only described what happened, and the two photos are evidence that someone entered while we were away. There was no fire alarm, which was especially worrying given the frequent recent fires in Turkish hotels and the poor electrical wiring and installation here. The power strips, adapters, broken router antenna, hanging wires, and washing machine plugged into the sink have nothing to do with fire safety, I'm 100% sure this place would fail an inspection. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels, and this was one of the worst. It isn't worth 60 euros, or anything at all. I don't understand how anyone can neglect upkeep this badly, fail to do things on time and properly, let a property fall into disrepair, and disrespect guests by expecting them to stay here. The review is intended as constructive criticism, and the apartment owner's final conclusion is incorrect. On the owner's complaint about racial discrimination: if they think the separate words "European" meaning a resident of Europe and "pensioner" meaning a retired person are discriminatory, or the two together, I can't help with that. I didn't mean any discrimination or offense. I was describing most of the people by the pool. After a stay or visit, I post the same review on at least 3-4 well-known platforms. My profile name is my personal business. Don't trust high ratings. Read the reviews, starting with the negative ones. That's where the real truth lies.
