Mutlu Apart Otel

We spent lots of time by the pool because it was so hot, and it was very clean. There weren’t enough sunbeds for everyone, even though the available space was filled with them. People got up early and reserved several for their families. The staff try to manage it by keeping the pool area closed until 8am. This was our first time in Altinkum and at Mutlu Apart Otel. We were self catering, and the apartments were spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed. Staff across housekeeping, reception, and the bar were fantastic and friendly. The beach and promenade are an easy, level five-minute walk away. We’d definitely recommend Mutlu for its location, cleanliness, and value.

The king sweet is worth every penny and something to see. The rooms are a nice size and kept clean, the menu is great, and food prices are very good. The bar is lovely, with a great choice of cocktails and other drinks. Staff were amazing, the team worked hard, and any problems were sorted quickly and effectively. It made for a really pleasant holiday. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great holiday experience in Turkey. 5/5 stars.

My sister and I stayed in an apartment from the 4th September to 21st, and the hassle started with the booking. I was told they hadn’t received my payment and would need me to pay on arrival. A few days later I found I’d paid twice. I raised it with management and asked for a refund every day. I finally got money back on our last day, but was still €80 short and never got that back. My sister needs a Mobility Scooter to get around. Staff kept saying she couldn’t bring it inside to charge the battery, so each morning we found it dumped outside the hotel door with a note saying charging would cost €300 per DAY. We explained it was a mobility scooter, not a novelty, but the young woman at reception was too rude to listen. The bedroom was okay, but we brought our own sheets and had to ask for the bed clothes to be changed. There was no hot water in the kitchen. The fridge was wedged into an unfinished floor recess, so we had to lift it to open the door, and it didn’t close properly. Of three kitchen plugs, only one worked. The shower had no hook, so we had to hold the head to rinse off. That was very difficult for my sister, who only has the use of one arm. Entertainment was advertised for most nights, but happened only two nights out of 17. The boss’s son put on a karaoke machine for guests to entertain themselves 🙄. If I were offered a free stay at Mutlu, I wouldn’t go back. Never.

The staff were warm and the beach, shops, and restaurants were all close by. The room was a letdown, though. The toilet was very old and yellowed, with a broken seat, and both the shower screen and shower head were damaged. It also hadn’t been cleaned properly for a new guest. Maybe I was given one of their worst rooms.
