Şafak Otel

We booked three rooms and arrived for a late check-in at about 10:00 PM. The lobby seats were visibly dirty from three meters away, covered in cat fur, and looked old and damaged, like something from the '80s. Our room was also very dirty despite being described as recently cleaned. Rust had run down from the showerhead, the faucets were almost hidden by limescale, and there were small blood spots on the sheets. The floors looked as if they hadn't been mopped in months. After about two hours in the room, we saw a fairly large bedbug on a pillow. That explained the blood, and I was worried we'd carry bedbugs home in our belongings, which can be very hard to deal with. We left immediately. I asked for a refund, but the hotel refused because we'd been in the room for more than five minutes. This was the worst hotel experience I've had. I gave it one star, though I don't think it deserves even that. I'll report it to the Turkish ministry of health and tourism.

The location near the coast was the only real plus, along with the air conditioning. The breakfast boreks weren't fresh, and it was barely a basic breakfast. There wasn't even a kettle in the room, and the towels were rough. Families with kids were loud late at night, and the kids' area is right in the middle, close to the rooms. There was also music blaring from speakers by the room door, which felt unnecessary. The staff weren't attentive or welcoming, and the rooms weren't clean or like the photos. Based on that, I'd say it's worth at most 1000 TL - £25 per night, as other reviews describe too.

The WiFi was painfully slow, doors kept banging all night, and the kids were loud. There was also a speaker playing music right outside our second-floor door, for some reason. It's cheap and very basic, which is fine, but our room was dirty. I stepped on something sticky that was tucked under the bed, and what I saw when I looked underneath was disgusting. The shower head needed a proper scrub to work.

This place feels like a tourist scam. The hotel is new, but the management seems inept. The food was bad quality and not in good condition, the pool was dirty, and they kept having hot water problems. Rooms weren't cleaned properly either. It's overpriced for what you get, and it feels like money comes before guests. This isn't the average level of Turkish service. Don't trust the good reviews without thinking it over. There are plenty of better options nearby.
