Safi Hotel

I went in at the very start of last summer season and stayed three nights. They charged me for all three up front. Breakfast was just a standard plate. They said politely that smoking wasn't allowed in the room, though it was okay on the balcony, which doesn't matter to me as I don't smoke there anyway. They said they'd clean every three days, but there was no cleaning during my stay. Still, it's family-run, the staff are friendly, and Altınkum beach is five minutes away. I was hoping for somewhere cheap and clean.

A peaceful, quiet spot, with chain stores and supermarkets right next door. Altınkum beach is 150-200 meters away, though it's extremely crowded and cosmopolitan. For anyone arriving by car, this hotel is an easy choice. It's family-run, good value, and the staff are friendly and respectful. The rooms are acceptably clean. The bathroom and toilet share one space, with no separate shower cabin, but it works well enough. The TV and refrigerator both work, and the fridge cools better than in most hotels. Breakfast is included. The room doors use older electronic cards as well as key locks.

Mr. Mustafa was really friendly and helpful. The hotel and its location were excellent, and I'd recommend it to everyone.

We had a comfortable, satisfying four-day stay. Many thanks to Mr. Murat and his family for hosting us. The furniture and air conditioning are old, but they do the job. The air conditioner cools well, the refrigerator is efficient, the TV works, and the beds were comfortable. I had no problems, though family rooms would be a nice addition. I heard the hotel is being renovated next year, and we're looking forward to seeing the new concept. Breakfast can be as simple or filling as you like. The hotel provides cheese, olives, cucumbers, jam, butter, honey, and eggs, and they'll bring more right away if you ask. Tea is available all the time without limit. You can pick up bagels and pastries at the nearby bakery, or order hot food like menemen and sausage and eggs from the kitchen. For lunch or dinner, we could order from outside and eat in the garden or on our balcony. SOFRAHANE is a local restaurant the hotel also orders from for itself and its staff. They deliver to your door whenever you order, up until 5 PM. Altinkum beach is a five-minute walk away. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available from the municipality for 300 TL, or you can bring your own. Some people leave chips, cola, or alcohol rubbish behind after staying overnight on the beach, but municipal workers clean it up. The sea is beautiful, all sand, not very deep, and great for children. I also recommend nearby Paradise Aquarium beach. It's genuinely like an aquarium, with fish all around you as you walk. It's quiet and unspoiled, and not many people know about it.
