The sound insulation is so poor that people in the rooms above or below can easily hear you. The TV barely works, with no channels during the day and only some appearing now and then at night. It's an old hotel, and since it's the only one in Harput, they charge 1200 TL a night when guests don't have another local option. I'd choose a hotel downtown instead, or even sleep in the car. I wouldn't recommend coming here.

The place has an authentic feel, and the service can be flattering depending on your profession. But don't choose it as a pet-friendly stay. We paid for that option, then were told cats weren't allowed in their enclosures. They knew we'd driven 12 hours, yet nobody mentioned this until we arrived.

After booking, they called to say they'd prepare the room especially for us, but there wasn't even water in it. Staff kept coming back to ask whether we needed things that should already have been provided. The room was stuffy, had no air conditioning, and was covered in dust and cobwebs. Even the teacher's house, the worst place I've ever stayed, was a thousand times better.

The historical displays and visuals are lovely, but the service was awful and the staff seemed uninterested. Breakfast was advertised as included, yet they didn't provide it, and the price they charged differed from the one on the website. I can't recommend this place.

Seeing the old houses brought back my childhood memories. This is a beautiful restoration of a historic house, and I really loved it.
