Four Points by Sheraton Elazig had an empty mini-bar, and the pool was so cold it couldn’t be used. The fact that nearly everything was in English, from the TV menu and room information to the soap dispensers, was especially frustrating. In a hotel operating in Turkey, having almost no Turkish is unacceptable. My five-year-old saying, “Mom, this is Turkey,” summed up how disconnected it felt. An international brand doesn’t excuse this level of disregard for local guests. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Mr. Serdar at reception made us feel special with his warm welcome, quick solutions, and hospitality. We had a comfortable, enjoyable stay at the Sheraton Elazığ Hotel. The rooms were clean, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was excellent. I’d definitely recommend it.

I travel often for work, and this is the best place to stay in Elazığ that I’ve come across. The hotel is in the city center, right beside the shopping mall, and has covered parking. The rooms are airy and spacious, with very comfortable beds. They’re very clean, hygiene is excellent, and the breakfast is fresh with plenty of variety. Elazığ needed a hotel like this.
