The manager was very nice, but this old hotel felt dysfunctional. My shower was cold, and the bed had no top sheet, just an extremely old polyester cover, Turkish style perhaps. I used the large towel they'd left for me instead. Breakfast was basic, too. I paid 32euros, more than I've paid for new three-star hotels in major foreign resorts. Still, everything in this part of Turkey seems expensive, at least for foreigners. The area itself is an ugly, run-down local tourist spot with bad beaches, so this was the best I could find for the price. I'd avoid the area unless you're passing through, and if you are, keep moving.

The room was dirty and the toilet seat was broken. The air conditioning didn't work, and the mattress gave me back pain. We did get hot water for a shower, but the room internet was out and they showed no interest in fixing it on the second floor. The lobby signal was only mediocre, and we weren't allowed to see the password. The hotel sits by a roundabout and main road, so the balcony isn't a peaceful place to sit. The owner was rude from the start, and charged us 34 euros instead of the 32 euros we'd booked. He immediately charged the card, so when we were tired and wanted to leave, we couldn't ask for our money back. There was no welcome tea or breakfast as Agoda advertised. After a lot of insisting, we could maybe get tea, coffee, and a bagel. He said it wasn't the season, basically telling us not to complain. The promised morning tea and bread never appeared. Nothing for a price that was already too high. After we returned the key, he said it wasn't a normal day. I've been to Turkey before, but I've never seen a place this bad here, including the staff's behavior.
