Otel Can

It’s a good place, really.

The terrace was lovely to spend time on, and the view from our room was especially beautiful. The owners were attentive, and we felt safe there. My girlfriend and I were really pleased with how spotlessly clean the rooms were. I’d wholeheartedly recommend this place if you’re coming with a group of friends.

The sea view and the friendly, helpful staff were the only things we liked. I’d booked for one night using a discount from my booking-site membership because I couldn’t find a guesthouse or similar place, but even the discounted price felt too high for the condition. There was trash and weeds piled along the seaside, with broken plastic sunbeds thrown on top. The iron-legged ladder down to the sea had broken, rusty steps. In the room, the shower cabin was missing, the toilet wobbled because the floor fixing screw was broken, and water seemed to be leaking onto the floor. It might have been clean water from flushing, but it was hard to tell because shower water spread over the same floor.

The staff were good, and we had no problems with them. We didn’t report the room’s issues since we were only there for one night, but there were far too many to brush off as one or two minor faults. The shower head didn’t work properly, the air conditioner was old and very noisy, and heavy vehicles passing outside made it hard to rest, especially at night, even though our room was at the back. There was no shampoo, toilet paper, or similar supplies, and one towel was badly stained, so we used our own. The outlet by the wardrobe didn’t charge phones or anything else. There was so little in the room that it’s hard to know where to start.
