We stayed at Villa 9 from Monday to Thursday last week, and two serious problems made the stay difficult. Water from the bath flooded into the living room onto the wood laminate, and when we tried to heat the bath water, the radiators switched off. We raised these issues and explained how much trouble they were causing us, including with our 3-year-old, but nobody seemed to care. What bothered me most was the staff's apparent interest in making sales, with little concern for what happens afterward. This was especially true of Mrs. / Ms. Özge. I had clearly asked to speak with the Hotel Manager; this is the feedback I would have given in person, so I'm putting it in writing here. Kindest Regards, Enes

The breakfast at VE Hotels Palandöken was delicious, with plenty of fresh, flavorful choices. The Wi-Fi was fast throughout the hotel, and I could work, stream, and keep in touch with loved ones without interruptions. The staff were friendly, helpful, and kind, and made me feel like family. I came looking for a quiet, comfortable rest after driving 320 kilometers from the Bazargan border into Turkey from Iran. The hotel gave me that and more. My room was spotless and well kept, and the whole place felt carefully looked after. It was peaceful and relaxing after the trip, and I didn't want to leave. The location is quiet and peaceful but still accessible, a good base for exploring Erzurum or enjoying the Palandöken mountains. If you're passing through after a long drive, I can say the journey was worth it. VE Hotels Palandöken felt like a sanctuary, and I'll remember the stay.

Up high on the mountain and away from the busy area, this hotel sits within the ski resort. It's clean, the food is good, and the staff are friendly. The ski equipment for rent is affordable, good quality, and well maintained. They also have professional ski trainers, so it's a good place if you're hoping to learn.

It was my birthday, and I took a photo posing with a bottle of champagne. We didn't drink any, but I was harassed and told drinking was forbidden at the hotel. I've never heard of a hotel banning guests from drinking; it's ridiculous and stupid. I'm very disappointed by what happened and don't recommend this hotel at all.

The hotel has its own rental shop, which is handy since the ski resort rental places can get really busy. The food and drinks are also high quality, and Erzurum's Cağ kebab is worth trying. Staff provide great service, and the hotel and rooms are very well maintained. The location suited me because it's high in the mountains and quiet. But if you want the bustle of a ski resort or easy access to a market, it may not be ideal. Unless you've booked the VIP shuttle, you'll need to take a taxi up from the main ski resort or ski up to reach the hotel. All in all, a very good place to stay.
