Gens Boutique Hotel

Breakfast had everything we wanted, including options for my vegan daughter, and the staff were so cheerful and welcoming, especially the waiter. The whole stay was beautiful and elegant, and it exceeded my expectations. My wife and daughter are already looking forward to coming back next season.

The cake at breakfast was delicious, and I appreciate the effort, but breakfast was only so-so. There was sugar, cups, and a heater in the room, yet no complimentary tea or coffee, and the water ran out without being replenished on the second day. The rooms weren't tidied and the corridors weren't cleaned. We didn't get a welcoming service either. This isn't how a business should be run, especially after all that hard work.

The location is perfect and the view is amazing, but the management was awful. We chose this hotel for our holiday because of its good reviews, though now I wonder if friends and family wrote them. The bathroom and toilet in our room hadn't been cleaned. When we complained about the dirt in the room we'd already paid for, the manager said something like, “If you don't like it, don't stay here.” She sent us out and cleaned it herself because they had no cleaning staff. Breakfast was supposed to be fresh, but there wasn't any. The bread was moldy, and they just said, “The whole bag is green.” We even offered to buy bread ourselves. Don't go there.

The pool was clean and never crowded, and there's a garden, a pier, the hotel's own beach, and another beach you can walk to. The water stays shallow near the shore. Our sea-view balcony was especially lovely at night, with Bozcaada in view. We stumbled across this hotel after finding the place we had booked in Asos very dirty. It's not especially central, but we found it really pleasant, with clean rooms. The half-board food was above average, and we thought the price was very fair.
