Abra Stone House

The room was spacious, and having a jacuzzi was especially relaxing in winter when all you want is a warm bath. Abra Stone House was such a gem. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. It was a set meal, with tasty eggs cooked differently each day. We could use the washing machine for free and ask for more water whenever we needed it. I highly recommend this place!

We felt great here, and it was very reasonably priced. The terrace has an amazing view, breakfast is excellent, the staff are friendly, and they can arrange activities with honest advice. The place was clean, though it wasn’t cleaned every day. The downside is the almost nonexistent sound insulation. You hear other guests, and even the cat, as if they’re in the same room, so bring earplugs. The jacuzzi looked nice, but we skipped it because using so much water in this dry region felt wrong. It’s a good base for hiking and balloon watching, about a 15-minute walk from town.

We spent six nights here, but couldn’t sleep peacefully because of the screaming cat and the poor sound insulation. You can hear every noise from the neighbours, from locking an old-fashioned metal door to filling a bathtub or flushing the toilet. All of it sounds like it’s happening in your room. If sleep matters to you, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The Wi-Fi was so bad that we used our own internet. The jacuzzi was nice.

The rooms felt cozy and authentic, with a real Cappadocia atmosphere, and there are lots of lovely places to explore nearby. From the terrace, you can watch the hot air balloons without going anywhere else. The staff were warm, welcoming, and really helpful. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Highly recommend!
