Göreme Cave Lodge

The last day was especially easy because our evening flight meant we could relax by the pool at the hotel until it was time to leave. The team kept offering refreshing drinks, and they surprised us with a few thoughtful gifts. Those gestures really touched us. Cave Lodge Göreme was spotless and beautifully designed, with a terrace looking out over Göreme. It's only about a five-minute walk to the town center. Abdullah and Burat, along with the rest of the staff, were attentive, kind, and genuinely caring. Breakfast was delicious, varied, and high quality. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended.

The staff made us feel right at home, they were caring and so accommodating. The location was just right, a short walk from the center but quiet and peaceful. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was great. Breakfast had lots of tasty choices, and the grounds were beautiful. We had a wonderful time at the Göreme Cave Lodge and would happily come back. 10/10, recommended.

I would return without hesitation and recommend it to travelers looking for atmosphere and a meaningful stay. The rooms are carved into the hillside, authentic cave spaces carefully turned into comfortable, elegant rooms. Their design honors the history and feels warm and intimate, never staged. The owner told us it had once been his family home, and that he was born in one of the rooms. That gave the place another layer of meaning. He also welcomed us himself, noticed my name and Circassian (Cherkess) descent, and knew a surprising amount about it. Our conversations were thoughtful and memorable. Murat, the administrator, was quietly efficient and helpful with logistics, requests, and recommendations throughout our stay. We were there for three nights and were unexpectedly offered a complimentary upgrade to a suite cave room on the final evening. It was a generous gesture, and sleeping there felt like a privilege. On the second day, I asked the owner about a hammam after showing him a shortlist I'd researched. He smiled, set the list aside, and asked us to trust him. What he arranged exceeded our plans. We've been to several high-end hammams in Turkey, including Sultan Hürrem Hammam in Istanbul, and this one came remarkably close to surpassing them. The first impression and a few small details seemed modest, but those doubts vanished once the immersive, relaxing ritual began. The care and authenticity stayed with us afterward. Even before arriving, the hills around Göreme, with their caves, contours, and ancient textures, had made an impression. The stay deepened it. The owner welcomed us personally, and those early conversations set a memorable tone for the days ahead.

We’re a 55-year-old couple visiting Turkey for the first time, and this place was amazing. The cave rooms were spacious and clean, with a lovely bathroom and nice amenities. The pool area was clean and well maintained, though it was too chilly for us to swim. The breakfasts were wonderful and filling. Everything from tour bookings and airport transfers to pool towels and everyday questions was handled with fantastic service. The location is great, about a five-minute walk into town. We highly recommend the Goreme Cave Lodge Hotel.
