Kismet Cave Mansion

The rooftop terrace gives you sweeping views over Göreme and the valleys, especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset. Sahin also set up a private tour at a very reasonable price. It came to about the same as joining a large group tour, but gave us the comfort, flexibility, and personal feel of having a private one. Great value, and one of our best decisions on the trip. We were lucky to stay with Sahin and his family. They welcomed us like family from the start, and their care made the place feel warm and easy. When bad weather put our balloon flight at risk, Sahin helped us rearrange plans and work through last-minute flight changes so we could stay longer and improve our chances of flying. His local knowledge helped us experience one of the most memorable moments of our trip. The accommodation was fantastic, the location was perfect, and their recommendations helped us see the best of Cappadocia. Still, it was Sahin and his family’s kindness, generosity, and sincerity that made the stay unforgettable. You can see how much pride they take in looking after people. We arrived as guests and left feeling like friends. We can’t recommend the place highly enough and would stay again in a heartbeat. Watching the hot air balloons from the balcony at sunrise was a highlight. Yusof and Kismet’s family helped us plan everything, from the Green Tour with Tumba, our friendly and fantastic guide, to the ATV sunset tour, Dervish ceremony, and Turkish Night. They gave us great suggestions, and everything was organized smoothly. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, especially the local food.

The location worked well for us, close to the city center and Goerem Open Museum, and the breakfast was delicious. I especially liked the home made molasses. The owner joined us at breakfast and told wonderful stories. Kismet Cave Mansion is outstanding, and the family were so hospitable. The owners son welcomed us at the door with home made treats and tea. Highly recommended.

We arrived in Cappadocia for a quick stop with no plans beyond booking this hotel. The family were lovely and clearly cared about making sure guests had a good time. They went out of their way to arrange horseback riding trips and a day tour to several places. I’d recommend staying here to anyone.
