We liked our stay and would recommend it. The room stayed warm in December, including the bathroom with its underfloor heating. The hotel has a pleasant view over the platform area, and the staff can arrange things like taxis, airport transfers, and day tours. Breakfast was decent too.

We spent three nights at Panoramic Cave Hotel and found it cosy and comfortable. The staff were so kind, and we looked forward to the lovely breakfast each morning. There are lots of cats around the hotel, plus a sweet dog named Dost. The viewpoint for watching the balloons at sunset is also an easy walk away. :)

We left early after a frightening experience with scorpions in our room. My husband and I saw them crawling around and nearly had one sting us. The cleaners also saw the large one and told the owner, but he didn’t seem concerned. He said scorpions were in all his rooms and that this was normal here. I searched for the exact kind and found that it could be dangerous, even deadly. We were afraid of having them on the bed or crawling on us while we slept, and I have videos of the insects, which moved fast. I couldn’t attach them here. The way the office staff, manager, and owner treated us made things worse. They were rude and acted like they didn’t care what we’d been through. When we decided to cut our vacation short and leave as soon as this happened, they refused to refund anything, saying they had taxes to pay. The manager first offered 4000 Turkish liras ($95 USD) from our $480 stay, even though we were leaving early on the last day because of the dangerous insects. Later, the owner said the manager had no authority to offer that, and that he might consider a refund if we had paid in cash. That felt sketchy. The owner also complained that we shouldn’t have stood up for ourselves and called our response rude. We told him we wouldn’t have complained over an ant or another harmless bug, but a “big hairy scorpion,” as Google indicated when I searched the image, was a serious concern for us and our health. Please find another hotel. This was a scary, awful experience in an otherwise lovely area.

The location and views were spectacular, and the service was amazing. Ramazan was especially kind and warm, and took such good care of us throughout a wonderful stay.
