Royal Stone Houses - Goreme

That early morning view from the rooftop terrace, watching balloons rise over the valley with coffee, was unforgettable. Royal Stone House is only a short walk from the center of Göreme, but it stays quiet and peaceful at night. I spent three nights here during my Cappadocia trip and had a wonderful time. My room was spacious, clean, and nicely designed, with stone walls that felt authentic and cozy. The hospitality and local charm made this a comfortable stay. I highly recommend Royal Stone House and would gladly return.

The snow made the charming little town feel magical, just a 5 Min drive away. We stayed three nights, and the rooms were warm and cozy despite the snow. The spa bath was amazing, and the basic Turkish breakfast was very tasty. It's a good place if you have a car, since parking in town can be difficult, and it was good value for money. A few things bothered us: there was no ice for our drinks, the pillows were uncomfortable, and a noisy drain pipe near the bed carried the sound of people showering or using the toilets in rooms above. I don't know why they didn't put that pipe on the outside of the building. All in all, though, a good place to stay.

The restaurant was the disappointing part. One of the older staff members had an unprofessional manner and didn't seem service-minded. That's a shame, since most of the staff were very nice and the hotel has potential. The check-in staff were polite and welcoming. The location was convenient, the hotel generally clean, and the room comfortable, though it had a slight musty smell. The bathroom was in good condition.

The peaceful feeling here is incredible, and everything is spotlessly clean. The beds are super comfortable, the bathroom is spacious, and the room was lovely. The terrace is amazing, and breakfast was varied and delicious every day. It's all easy to reach on foot: about 5 minutes to the valley where the hot air balloons take off, and another 5 minutes to the town center. An unbeatable location. Without a doubt, the best choice in Cappadocia. 🌸
