Otel Gümüslük

The hosts made a lovely impression from the start. We arrived early and only meant to ask about leaving our bags, but our room was ready, so they let us check in straight away. They were helpful with all my questions and can also assist with transfers, shuttles, or tickets. We liked having breakfast included, and sitting out on the porch with wine in the evening was nice. There’s a garden courtyard with loungers, a pool, and lots of flowers. Our room seemed recently renovated and had enough towels, slippers, and toiletries, plus air conditioning to adjust the temperature. It’s in a quiet, more suburban part of Bodrum, but the pebble beach and a few bars and restaurants are only about a three-minute walk away. I’d spent time looking for somewhere affordable and cozy, and Otel Gümüşlük turned out to be just right. We had a great time.

The restaurant beneath the satsuma trees has a lovely, relaxing setting, and the outdoor areas and pool may still appeal if you don't mind the rooms and bathrooms being small and old. But our stay wasn't satisfactory. We had booked six nights, yet managed only three before moving to another hotel. The bathrooms are in poor condition, cleaning is a problem, and breakfast was poor.

A day trip from Bodrum to Gümüşlük won me over with the village’s peaceful, picturesque feel, and I ended up staying at Otel Gümüşlük for ten nights instead of the two I’d planned. The family-run hotel is just a short step from the beach. The staff are what made the stay memorable, and I’d certainly return. Breakfast was tasty and varied, and my balcony looked over a beautiful garden and large pool. I understood the hotel was about ten years old, but they’ve recently started modernizing it and the rooms. Mine was clean, attractive, and modern, with all the facilities I’d expect in a luxurious hotel.

The pool was clean, our room was comfortable, and breakfast did the job. We had a really enjoyable weekend here. I’d definitely recommend it.
