We arrived by motorbike, tired after driving 600kms, and asked about the price and availability. The person we spoke to quoted 250/350 linars for one night, without or with breakfast, which seemed reasonable for a pension in a small Turkish village. When we went to pay, his brother was there instead. He said it would be 2500/3500 for the night and showed me a menu with the highest prices I’d seen in Turkey during our whole trip. We refused to pay that much, but I paid 2000 rather than leave. The room was dirty, and we had a huge hairy spider as a roommate. It wasn’t a hotel worth those prices. They seem to have deals with bus tours that bring people there to squeeze them, since there aren’t many places to eat in the village. In my view, these people are scammers who treat foreign visitors like cash machines. Not recommended at all.
