Peronti Hotel

The hotel is a long way from Trabzon, about 171 km or 2 hours and 21 minutes away. At the restaurant, we were meant to get a buffet, but the waitress said they only had soup, rice, and chicken that smelled oily and tasted bad. The service was terrible. We also asked for room service, but the bed linen wasn’t changed.

For 1,750 TRY per room, this was more than fair. The hotel is in a central but quiet spot in Hopa, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and come with WiFi and TV. It’s a good deal if you’re not expecting luxury. I’d recommend it.

Breakfast was OK, and the staff were really friendly, with some English spoken. We stayed one night in mid June 2023. The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was large with plenty of hot water. The location worked well, and there was on street parking opposite the hotel.

The sea view from the room was nice, though traffic could still be heard even from the upper floors. The old carpet needs replacing. It held a smell, especially of ash, which was hard to get rid of and felt unhygienic. It made my throat itch this time. Even a thorough cleaning can leave particles in old carpet, so laminate or granite would be easier to clean and more hygienic, or the carpets need to be replaced regularly.
