One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. It was clean and quiet, breakfast was included, and the Wi-Fi was good. There’s room on the terrace to work on a computer, too. The receptionist’s kindness and beauty were a nice bonus.

I stayed in a tiny six-person women’s dorm, with barely enough room to open my suitcases. The shared bathroom was unisex, which bothered me a little, and its sensor lights kept switching off. The location in the historic center is great, very close to the mosques. Breakfast was good, though there wasn’t much variety.

I got bitten by a bed bug while staying at this hostel. Two or three days later I was itchy and swollen, so I went to the hospital. Pills and ointment settled the itching, but I’m scared the marks could stay for the rest of my life. Please check your beds for bugs before using them, and please respond to Agoda as soon as possible. The host was lovely and helped me figure out the bus to Cappadocia. Breakfast was delicious and generous, too. That’s why I’m so sad this happened.

I was really happy with my stay here. The receptionist was warm and friendly, and it’s great value in Istanbul. Breakfast on the rooftop had a nice atmosphere, with lots of different things to choose from, and it all tasted good. Highly recommend.

I’ve booked this hostel several times, paying about USD 17-25 for a bed in the 10-bed mixed dorm. It’s five minutes from Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet, with T1 and T6 trams, public transport and the airport bus nearby. If there’s space, they’ll let you check in early, and luggage storage is free. The dorms are kept really clean, with daily room cleaning and beds cleaned before check-in. Every bed has curtains, a charger, reading light, hangers and an automatic locker. There’s a big breakfast selection, clean bathrooms with soap and plenty of hooks, and helpful, friendly staff. Just book this place.
