Alpinn Due Hotel

The staff were very welcoming, but breakfast was so poor that the dining room was almost always empty. I can't see how this place can be rated four stars.

Our rooms were very dirty, and the towels weren't changed at all. Food we'd seen at breakfast the previous day was served again the next morning, and it had bites taken out of it. We were a large group, and none of us was happy with the experience. I'd advise people to look at other places to stay.

The metro station is right next to the hotel, in the tourist district, and all the food shops you'd need are nearby. The Blue Mosque is a 20-30 minute walk away, or a few stops on Tram T1. Prices are reasonable, the rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast isn't anything special, but it's great for a hotel of this size. A great place to stay and sleep.

Yusuf was a real credit to the hotel and helped us a lot. Still, I left disappointed. I felt the owners were presenting basic things as perks, and breakfast was only average unless you paid 3 euros for something as ordinary as a fried egg. The fruit juice tasted watered down. Prices for ironing depended on who you asked: one staff member said 1 dollar, while the owner doubled that price. We walked about 100 yards and got it done for 10 liras instead. The room was quite small, and I felt the owner was trying to charge extra for a larger one, which seemed unfair. This hotel shouldn't be classed as four star.
