Arach Hotel Harbiye

For a reasonable price, this hotel had what I needed for a comfortable stay. The location is ideal, the rooms are clean, the bathroom was very satisfactory, there was no disturbance, and the WiFi was excellent. The front desk staff were always friendly and helped with a smile. I don't understand the bad reviews for a place this nice. People pay little and seem to expect Hilton or Sheraton. And the complaint about loud noise seems unfair to the manager. With over 20 rooms occupied, if one guest gets rowdy and causes a scene, the manager can try to calm them down, but can't just call the police on a guest. Of course, if someone broke into a room or abused guests, that would be a different matter. Best wishes to the front desk team.

I spent four nights at Arach Hotel Harbiye, Istanbul on a business trip and had a very good stay. The modern, clean hotel is well placed for work and getting around. My room was quiet and comfortable, with what I needed. Staff were polite and helpful throughout, especially Amir at reception. He was consistently kind and supportive and made things easier and more enjoyable. I'd recommend it for business or leisure.

We only lasted seven hours, one night, and wanted to get out as soon as we could. After arriving late, we went straight to bed before an important business day, but shouting and banging woke us up all over the hotel, especially right beside our room. It was our first time in Istanbul, and as foreigners who didn't understand the language, it was terrifying. The argument between a couple eventually moved to our door, and we thought they might burst in at any moment. The noise went on for two hours. I couldn't sleep because I was afraid to do anything. We checked out immediately in the morning because safety matters most. We asked for our remaining nights to be refunded. Management said these things happen and they can't guarantee safety or stop incidents like this. Booking couldn't help because the hotel refused to return our money. It left us feeling that the hotel didn't care about our safety, our stay or its reputation. The room was dirty, the bed linens stained, and there was no soundproofing. I paid extra for a balcony, but got windows overlooking a shabby inner yard, nothing like the photos. We'd paid for breakfast but didn't try it because we didn't want to risk it. I can't recommend this hotel. The management didn't seem to care about guests or customer service. Other hotels we stayed in showed us much better hospitality.

I found this hotel online while looking for a cheaper option in the area, and it was really affordable. It was close to both Nişantaşı and Taksim, the places I wanted to explore, as well as the M2 subway. The hotel was clean, the staff were very good, and breakfast was good enough. I'd pick it again next time I'm in Istanbul. Thanks for everything!
