Arma Apartments

The security is excellent, and the building gets a 10/10 from me. The Wi-Fi, water, and heating all work great.

Arma Residence is a residential and business building, not a hotel. The units called Arma Apartments seem to be rental properties rather than a proper accommodation business, and I’m not sure they’re even legal. The apartments are very dirty and aren’t cleaned before being rented day to day, which could put guests’ health at risk. This needs an urgent inspection. I’m posting here so the relevant authorities see it.

We were forced to stay because this place was close to the airport, and the holiday turned into a nightmare. My fiancé and I came to Istanbul expecting the beautiful, spacious rooms shown in the photos. Instead, we were given a room for the first night that I wouldn’t put a dog in, and they charged us 1700 TL for it. We checked in at 5 a.m. and had agreed to leave Sunday, but they kicked us out Saturday. The room had no key and could only be locked from inside; they said the key was lost. When we lifted the bed, we found wooden boxes clearly visible underneath. The sheet also had what looked like sanitary pad traces. I photographed everything. My whole body has bites, from either fleas or wooden boxes, and the scratching still hurts. I’m going to make a complaint and file a report about the swelling on my body. I’ve never seen such a disgusting place. The room is a disgrace, they’re doing it no justice, and we won’t forgive them. This place should be sealed as soon as possible.

No air conditioning, and there wasn’t even a TV remote. The bugs, dirty beds and sheets, and filthy sofas made this a terrible place.
