Atlantis Royal Hotel

On my short trip to Istanbul, I found Atlantis hotel clean, fresh, and comfortable, and it exceeded what I expected. My room was a good size and had a balcony. It's about 40 minutes from Airport (IST), which is a bonus. The hotel is in Sultan Ahmet, within walking distance of many sights. The staff were the best part, friendly and always willing to go out of their way to help, especially Burham. Thank you. I'd definitely stay again.

There are plenty of restaurants around, and it's a handy location for visiting the mosque or the old street area. Just keep in mind you'll be going up and down a lot each day. The staff were quite friendly and helpful. The room felt a little old and small if you have several big suitcases. They offer free daily cleaning if you ask for it, and the price was cheap.

The rooms were far smaller than the photos suggested. We were expecting a bed and a large sofa bed, but got a tiny couch, and there was barely space to move around. The area also felt dark and sketchy. Getting to the tourist spots meant climbing a hill on rough, rocky streets, so it felt much farther than it looked. The reception staff were the worst part. They were rude and disrespectful, and I felt they treated guests badly. They yelled at me even when they were wrong. I also didn’t receive the service I’d paid for, and they refused to refund me. After I explained what I thought they’d gotten wrong, they told me to check out and said they’d return the money through Agoda. Agoda later said the hotel had declined any refund or waiver. When I went back to complain, the receptionists seemed ready to fight. I even asked the manager to check the cameras to see how his staff had acted, but he said he trusted them. If you point out a mistake, be prepared for them not to admit it. Booking this place was the worst part of my trip to Istanbul. For a similar price, I’d recommend Genius Istanbul Hotel, which is a little more expensive but close to the blue mosque on a flat road. I loved my stay there. The receptionists were friendly, helped me book trips, and gave me their best room so I could stay longer. That treatment made a huge difference. The GENIUS HOTEL saved my trip.

The location made getting around easy. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, and Grand Bazaar were all about a 20-minute walk away. Our room was tidy and clean, and we appreciated having fresh towels each day. Three reception staff members covered the shifts while we were there, and every one of them was friendly and helpful. It made the stay comfortable, and we had a pleasant time. Recommended.
