We were upgraded when we arrived, and after our long journey the Turkish tea was a lovely welcome. The staff were friendly and respectful throughout, always doing their best to make the stay pleasant. Breakfast had a good range, including great coffee, fresh fruit, cheeses, eggs and more. The hotel is centrally located, about a five-minute walk from Sultanahmet. I’d recommend it to family and friends and hope to return.

The heating worked well, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The major tourist sights are also very close by. Still, the sheets aren’t linen, breakfast was quite poor, and there was an annoying noise in the room. Having visited Istanbul several times, I think there are much better hotels at similar prices, and I don’t want to return here. The hotel encourages guests to write reviews, so I’m not sure other guests’ reviews can be trusted.

We were travelling with our 17-month-old baby, and the staff went out of their way to help us feel comfortable and make the stay easy. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we felt at home. Azra Sultan Hotel is right in the lively heart of Sultanahmet, with the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern just a short walk away. The area has plenty going on in the evenings. Our room was clean, cozy and well looked after, and the hotel had a welcoming feel. A great base for Istanbul’s main sights! 🌟🕌👶

Stylish rooms, good breakfast, our own parking and great staff. The hotel is in a nice, safe part of the old city, and for me it’s a perfect place to stay while visiting Istanbul.

We had a spacious family room for three, with good lighting and air conditioning. It was a really lovely, clean hotel, and they welcomed us with tea and coffee, much appreciated after a long journey. The location is very central: about five minutes from Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern, and three minutes from Sultanahmet Tram station, with easy connections to nearby areas and ferry ports. Staff were friendly and helpful, going above and beyond. Breakfast had a good mix of continental, Turkish and hot dishes, plus fruit, cereal and cakes. They’ll also make an omelette or fried eggs on request. There’s a lift, but also some steps, as hotels around here tend to be tall and narrow, so it wouldn’t suit wheelchair users. Our only small suggestion is to refresh the bathroom grout, which was blackened in places around the shower. I’d be happy to recommend the hotel to family and friends 🧡
