The breakfast could use more variety. It was the same every day, which might get repetitive on a longer stay. The location made getting around easy, with shops, food and transport close by. Staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout, especially front desk managers Selim and Erfan, who were courteous the whole time. A very pleasant stay.

Seeing the sunrise across the bosphorus when I woke up was so special. The view was great, and I loved the room. The staff were really nice and gave me a top-floor room with a Hammam style bathroom, which I enjoyed a lot. I’d absolutely stay here again. Thanks for everything!

What stood out most over our five days was the staff. Mahmut, Mehmet-Can, Serhad, Mr. Irfan, the young man from Agiri, and many others were warm, devoted, thoughtful, courteous, honest and unpretentious. The hotel also fits the district’s historic character, and the clean, air-conditioned rooms had everything we needed. There’s a spa in the basement with a classic Turkish hammam and Ayurvedic massages, which you can book to suit your preferences. Breakfast offered plenty of variety, and the location worked well for sightseeing by ferry, tram or on foot. Tastes differ, so I’ve tried to keep this review as genuine as I can.

I found the service excellent, and Selim Kaya at reception deserves special thanks for his helpfulness and warm hospitality. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location in Sirkeci was ideal for exploring Istanbul. I had a wonderful stay at Best Western Empire Palace. Highly recommended!

You can get on a train easily from here, but rideshares and taxis can’t reach this location. Breakfast was good, and the customer service was great.
