Hotel Birbey

The cramped room made for a very uncomfortable stay, and I wouldn’t return or recommend this hotel. The sheets were dirty, with visible stains on the blanket, and the bathroom was dirty too, especially the shower. There was a bad dusty smell in the room. My sister had an allergic reaction when she entered, and then again after we came back from a short trip in Istanbul. The bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t shut properly, and there wasn’t a phone in the room to call for service. It was a really bad experience.

The location is the only good thing here. The photos online are misleading and don’t show what the hotel is really like. My room and bathroom were filthy, with dust everywhere. At breakfast, the person serving food kept putting his hand in his nose in front of everyone. I asked for warm milk and got cold milk, with instructions to add hot water. 😳 This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Never go there.

The staff made this a comfortable stay. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and the reception team were friendly and polite. The manager was kind too, and I didn’t have any problems while I was there. The bed was really comfortable. My first impression of staying in a small hotel was a little strange, but I felt at ease. The location is good, and I’d recommend the place for a short stay. A good place if you’re mainly here to sleep. The rooms aren’t big, and the elevator fits one or two people, but it’s good enough for a two-star hotel. The location is perfect, close to places and shops. Breakfast was the same every day, but enough to fill you up. Don’t come expecting luxury. I don’t know about the prices since we booked a package with flights. The man at reception, who I think is the owner, was very friendly and always welcomed us. They helped when we had questions or needed anything, and lent us his card.
