Chilloutlya Hostel&Bar

The boss and staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. The hostel is near Istanbul's main shopping arcade. From Istanbul airport, I'd take the M11 airport train, then the M2 underground to Taksim Meydani station, and walk along Istiklal Avenue to the hostel. It's about a 10-minute walk. Google Maps suggested taking a bus from an M11 stop, but traffic can be unpredictable and that can be troublesome. The transfer walk from M11 to M2 takes 15 minutes, but it's covered, so bad weather or transport issues won't affect it. The transfer station, Gast... something, was new and worth seeing.

We had a great seven-night stay. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and every staff member was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, and you can definitely find everything you're looking for here. A perfect place for a holiday, 10/10. We'll absolutely come back.

The breakfast was SUPER good, and both the room and bathroom were clean. The location is very good too, with access to everything you need.

The beds were comfortable, with clean, fresh linen and towels, and lockers in the rooms. Staff were friendly and ready to help with questions. Wi-Fi worked very well, and breakfast was fresh, free, and hotel-style, with an all-inclusive spread each morning. Chilloutlya Hostel & Lounge is in Taksim, with Istiklal street, cafés, restaurants, tea houses, shops, a supermarket, pharmacy, ATM, bus stops, and metro all within a 1-10 minute walk. Nightlife nearby is very active for anyone who enjoys going out. Each floor has shared toilets and showers, plus there's an outdoor patio, a bar with café, and a kitchen with basic cooking and food storage items. Laundry is available for an extra charge. I find it very comfortable and highly recommend Chilloutlya Hostel. Whenever I'm in Istanbul, I always stay here.
