⭐ 0 There was mold in parts of the room, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable, and the room had no heating on. The toilet was in poor condition, the shower head was broken, and there was no hot water. This place is badly maintained and unclean. A very disappointing stay at Diyar Hotel in Istanbul. Please love yourself and stay away from this horrendous place.

The location is close to everything you might need, and the price was cheap at 757 tl per night. But I won't stay again. The hotel is very dirty, the restroom smells bad and is very old, and the shower handle is broken. The sink is tiny, and the rooms smell of smoke. I noticed the room cleaner smoking while working, so even the mattresses smell like smoke. After getting bitten in three spots, I checked under the mattress and found some insects. I booked online, but the room looked different from the pictures.

For a budget stay in Istanbul, this is easily the best value I've found. I booked an economy single room for two people, and there was one queen and one single mattress. The interior is basic and old, with dim lights, but it has a refrigerator, TV, table, soap, shampoo, and towels. It's clean overall, and the staff are friendly and helpful. There's no elevator or breakfast. The location is very central, with a tramway station, metro station, and bus stop just a few minutes' walk away. Walk 15 minutes to Spice Bazaar or Eminönü, then continue by bus, tramway to Sultanahmed area, or ferry. I'll stay here again next time I'm back in Istanbul!

The price is good, but the hotel is tiny and there's no elevator. The smell was really bad. They charge by the person for the same room, so a single guest is asked for 1000 lira and the amount changes if there are more people.
