Edibe Sultan Hotel

The team is what makes this place feel like home every time I visit. Ugur, Zülayha, and Onur are funny, warm, and wonderful, and there are others whose names I don’t know. I especially remember leaving my handbag on my seat in the breakfast area one morning. It had a lot of cash, my cards, and my passport inside. Zülayha found it and made sure it was brought to my room. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and a great value for the price. It’s in Sultanahmet, Fatih, by a row of restaurants and shops and near blue mosque and Haga Sofia. Breakfast is a buffet with a dozen or so unusual salads, plus bread, eggs, pastries, coffee, tea, and more. I love seeing their kind hearts and smiling faces each time. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We enjoyed our stay, and the room was nice with a beautiful view. The staff were very sweet, and even helped us load our luggage into the car when we were leaving. It’s close to the important tourist spots. The lift was a bit difficult to operate, and its doors wouldn’t close. Our room windows also didn’t shut properly, so we had problems with mosquitoes, which was really unpleasant.

Really clean hôtel, tasty breakfast, and good service. It was close to all the places you need to see in Istanbul. Thank you!

The location is handy, close to the mosques and tram, with the Grand Bazaar only a two-minute walk away. During the night, though, cats were crying on the first floor, and the night receptionist was mean and unhelpful. The daytime receptionist was a real gentleman. There were heating problems, and breakfast was cold apart from the coffee and eggs.
