Elanaz Boutique Hotel

The location was the only good part. The hotel looked nothing like its online description or photos, and the room was tiny, narrow, and impractical. It was dusty, dirty, and poorly maintained throughout, from the filthy bathroom and grime-covered glass to the broken shower screen and torn insect screen. The balcony was tiny and dirty too. The air conditioning barely cooled the room in the summer heat, and the furniture was old and worn. After our first night, we asked to cancel the remaining nights, but the hotel refused to refund any of the payment, even for unused nights. Staff just said, “If you don’t like it, that’s your problem.” We had to find another hotel, which added stress and unexpected expenses. This was a huge disappointment, and I strongly advise others to avoid it rather than fall for the misleading presentation.

The room was spotless, cozy, well equipped, and a restful place to come back to after long days exploring. The whole hotel was beautifully maintained, with care visible from the lobby to the rooms. Each morning we had a delicious, fresh breakfast, and every staff member was warm, polite, and helpful. The two receptionists, especially Ms. Ira, made the stay feel like being hosted by close friends. They took time to understand what we needed, offered recommendations, helped us get around a foreign country and with transportation and local attractions, and checked that we were comfortable. They went above and beyond, and their kindness made a lasting impression. What started as a simple booking became one of the most heartwarming and memorable parts of our trip to Turkey. It was hands down the highlight of our journey, and we’ll absolutely book here again. This wasn’t just somewhere to stay, it’s an experience we’ll always treasure.

Irina was a real standout, and the staff were so helpful. The hotel itself has loads of charm and sits in a great spot in the old city. It’s the best place I’ve stayed in Istanbul.

Breakfast is on the small side, but it has what you need: eggs, bread, meat, cheese, and salad. The hotel is good value for a spot right in the center, and it stays quiet at night, which matters. Nice place.
