Elyka Hotel

The location made it easy to get to central areas, restaurants, coffee shops, and transport. I stayed for a week, and the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout. The food and service were outstanding. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was a highlight for me, with lots of fresh, tasty options to choose from. The room was spacious and spotless, with a comfortable bed and thoughtful amenities, and it felt cozy after a long day. From the moment I arrived, the attentive, friendly staff made me feel at home. elyka hotel exceeded my expectations. I'd happily recommend it for a comfortable stay.

The Grand Bazaar is an easy walk from here, and the location is good. But the room felt old, the linens didn't look clean, and it was noisy in the middle of the night. The website photos don't really match the room. Breakfast was very basic, nothing worth mentioning.

On our last night, May 28-29, the entire building lost running water for around 15 hours, so we couldn't use the toilets, sinks, or showers. Staff blamed a citywide shutoff, but nearby places including Hotel Niles still had water. My partner and I stayed at Hotel Elyka in late May 2025, and the problems had started earlier: almost no soundproofing, a door that wouldn't close without the deadbolt, and a safe that didn't work. Despite at least four requests, the staff never fixed the safe. Some staff really did try to help despite the language barrier, but the concierge on the daytime check-in desk was singularly unhelpful. On the morning of May 29, we said we wanted to check out early. The concierge first refused to refund the four extra nights we'd paid for. He eventually agreed, grudgingly, to send €192 by wire transfer, after dubiously claiming there would be a 20% credit card transaction fee deduction. The money never came, and after several weeks he stopped answering our WhatsApp messages. We had to start a chargeback to get back the promised refund, more than a month after the stay. We wouldn't recommend Hotel Elyka to travelers, especially with more reputable hotels right nearby.
