The ATM beside the hotel was handy, but I personally won't stay there again. As a solo woman who doesn't smoke and doesn't want cigarette smoke every time I leave my room, it wasn't a good fit. The hotel hallways felt claustrophobic, and my room's window faced an alley with no daylight. If you don't drink much, this may not suit you either. Don't count on help with luggage on the steep, narrow stairs by reception. If someone does help, they do it with an annoyed attitude. I'd suggest solo female travelers with similar preferences look elsewhere.

The staff were so friendly and ready to help. Gaia Suites was also in a handy spot, near lots of Istanbul sights but peaceful enough at night. Our room felt modern and comfortable, and it was clean with everything we needed.

We could get around on foot from Gaia Istanbul, with bars and restaurants close by and the city all around us. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and the housekeeping team kept it that way with real care. Filiz at reception made us feel welcome and took care of whatever we needed with a smile. My wife and I had a great stay.

Being in the heart of Besiktas made it easy to enjoy the local atmosphere and find plenty of places to eat. The hotel is in a pedestrian area, so a taxi can't pull up at the door. The nearest pickup point is a short 150-meter walk, and public transportation is easy to reach. Saturday night's music nearby was my one small concern, though the double-glazed windows cut down the noise when both were shut. My room was very clean, and the staff were thoughtful and helpful. They suggested local breakfast places and other hidden gems, and Halil offered me coffee and made me feel at home. I had a very positive stay at Hotel Gaia Istanbul and would gladly return.

The beds were really comfortable, though I’d ask for thinner pillows. The hotel is lovely, new, clean, and comfortable. Just be prepared for things to get pretty crazy outside, especially on weekend evenings.
