Galata Rasso Boutique Hotel

The staff were attentive, very friendly, and always willing to help. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. It’s a great central base, close to lots of attractions and with easy transport nearby. I had a wonderful stay, felt it was good value, and would choose Galata Rasso Hotel again on my next Istanbul visit.

The location works well if you want to be near Galata Tower, but the rooms were noisy, outdated, and not very clean. I had to change rooms because the AC in the first one didn’t work. The front desk staff adjusted it, and when the shower drain failed and flooded the bathroom and part of the bedroom, they quickly offered me another room without seeming surprised. The AC worked in the second room, but during the night it randomly switched to 30°C. I woke up overheated and had to wait for it to cool before I could fall asleep again. Both rooms had broken or unusable furniture, and in both, the rain shower didn’t work, only the handheld shower. For the price, you can find somewhere better.

The staff were easily the best part. The two boys behind the desk were lovely, incredibly kind and helpful, and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and share great recommendations. My room was cozy and well-kept, and the location was spot on, right by Galata Tower and close to everything I wanted to see. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend Galata Rasso In Istanbul.

The location is good, the place is clean, service is fine, and it’s reasonably quiet. The room design is the problem: the toilet is almost transparent. You can’t see much from inside, but from the room the view is very detailed. It would’ve earned a much higher rating without that. I don’t know what kind of sick mind thought it was a good idea, and sadly it seems to be a widespread issue.
