The shower was a highlight for me, with strong pressure and steady hot water. My room was clean and comfortable, and check-in went smoothly. The front desk staff were polite and friendly. Gentle Tom is right on the shopping street, so it's easy to stroll around, shop, and find food nearby. There was some noise at night from the restaurant downstairs, though the hotel provided earplugs, which helped. I'd happily stay here again.

The terrace breakfast, with the Bosphorus view, was a lovely way to start the day, and the balconies have a striking view where Istanbul’s architecture meets the deep blue sea. Inside, the rooms feel warm and a little mystical, with stone and brick details alongside modern design. The hotel is only a few steps from Istiklal Street and the main entertainment spots, but still feels calm and tucked away. The staff were attentive, friendly, and professional, and the breakfast was rich and thoughtfully prepared. A great pick if you're looking for comfort, style, scenery, and a convenient location.

We had a whole floor to ourselves during our four nights, and I'd happily come back. The location is the best, surrounded by great bars, restaurants, and sights. It's a comfortable, nice place with very friendly staff.

The location is the one thing this hotel has going for it, about 100 meters from Istiklal. I stayed four nights, and the room was tired and in need of a refresh. I had booked a room advertised with a balcony overlooking St Anthony's church. It did have a balcony, but it faced a restaurant, with the church many metres away and out of sight. Breakfast was terrible. The woman serving at 7 am didn't seem happy to see me, and the food portions were meagre and unappetising. I went out for a simit and skipped breakfast after that. Reception service was neutral, with no one really greeting guests or offering help with luggage.
