Meg Hotel

We stayed three nights in a fifth-floor room with a terrace, and the views were beautiful. The hotel is tucked into a quiet area but the main monuments are still walkable. The staff were the highlight, always attentive, kind, and ready to help. A perfect 10/10.

Breakfast was really good, with plenty of choices and fresh fruit and vegetables. The hotel is in a handy spot off the main street, so it wasn't too noisy. Dovlet and Savaș were especially friendly and helpful. They shared recommendations and even helped us mail postcards when the postcard office was closed. Highly recommend!

The room was on the small side, but it felt new and had a nice shower in the bathroom. The hotel arranged transfers to and from Sabiha airport for a very good price, which we appreciated. We also liked the view, the peaceful area, the cleanliness, and the very good breakfast and service. The staff were so polite. Thank you for the hospitality and everything.

The only drawback was the alley location, which made it hard for cars and taxis to reach the hotel. Otherwise, it was great value and I'd recommend it for a future Istanbul visit. We stayed three nights at Meg Hotel, and Mr Gökalp gave us a warm welcome at reception. He was professional and kind, provided extraordinary service, and upgraded us to the hotel's best room for our stay. The room had good space, and the bed linen and towels were very clean. There was complimentary coffee, tea, water, and cake in the lobby, and breakfast offered a great selection of dairy, eggs, and pastries. The location was convenient too, about five minutes' walk to Marmaray and seven minutes to the tram line, with connections to other parts of Istanbul.
