The rooms were comfortable, well equipped, and nicely maintained, and breakfast was good. Upper-floor rooms have lovely views over the Golden Horn, especially morning and evening. The location is the hotel's biggest strength, right by the bridge between Beyoğlu and Sultanahmet, so it's handy for exploring both sides of the historic center. Front desk service felt less polished than the rest of the property, perhaps because of training. On our first night, they activated just one key card for two guests and sent an English-speaking challenged staff member to escort us to a room next to the elevator. It seemed unnecessary in such a small hotel, and two cards would have been more useful. When we asked about extending, the rate quoted was much higher than the price on Booking.com, where we'd booked originally, so we rebooked through booking.con instead. A few other details felt like market bargaining rather than four-star service. The airport transfer was first offered at the same price as a taxi, then reduced by €10 when we didn't accept right away. At checkout, staff wanted to inspect the minibar before finishing, even though they already had our card details. None of this was a major problem by itself, but together it left the impression that service standards didn't match the quality of the hotel. The location, views, and rooms are excellent, and more polished front desk service could make this a standout stay.

We spent 7Nights in the Sophia suite at Gokden horn sirkeci hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location was amazing, the staff were helpful and really pampered us. Breakfast was served daily in the rooftop restaurant with a sea view. I'd highly recommend it.

The room was ordinary, but the location is superb: everything is walkable or a few rides away, and the tram station is right next door. Breakfast was extraordinary. The menu didn't vary much day to day, but every dish was delicious, so I didn't mind repeating it. Mr Seckin, the breakfast manager, was lovely and polite. He kept asking what he could cook if we didn't fancy anything from the buffet. His food was all so good that we left full every morning. He even offered Turkish coffee, though I had to say no because I'm not a coffee person and have a sweet tooth instead. The mochacino was amazing, and I can't find one like it back home. I'd stay at golden horn sirkeci again when I visit istanbul, for Mr Seckin's hospitality and the good food.

Our group had an amazing stay at Golden Horn Hotel. The rooms were comfortable, the staff very friendly, and the service went beyond what we expected. Ms. Şükran at reception deserves special thanks for being warm, welcoming, and understanding. She made us feel valued throughout our visit. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was simple but very good, without unnecessary luxury, and there were different desserts each morning. It kept me going until lunch and sometimes even dinner. A staff member checked several times at each table to see if guests were happy with the food. If you need an umbrella in Istanbul's winter, you can borrow one for free in the lobby, which was very convenient. I've visited many European countries and can compare the service. I've never been treated as kindly elsewhere. The staff really care, everything was clean, and the service was excellent. I stayed three nights and enjoyed it. The airport transfer to SAW was quick and convenient too. Thanks to this hotel, I came away with very positive impressions of Istanbul and Turkish people. I appreciated the warm welcome and hope to return to Istanbul. I'll definitely choose this hotel again.
