Grand Elmira Suites

Our stay at Grand Elmira Suites was a comfortable one, and I can't wait to visit again. The spa and wellness center is a must-visit if you want to relax, and the restaurant serves a broad menu, from local dishes to international favorites, made with high-quality ingredients. Rates also seemed reasonable for the room quality, service and range of amenities, especially for a property aiming for a five-star stay without an exorbitant price tag. The suites are spacious and thoughtfully decorated in a chic, contemporary style, more like stylish apartments than hotel rooms. They have plush bedding, top-tier amenities, large windows with stunning city views, soft lighting and well-appointed bathrooms. Staff were courteous, professional and eager to help, from handling luggage to dining recommendations or a friendly greeting. The property sits in the heart of the city, close to business areas and major tourist attractions while offering a bit of relief from the usual city bustle. Grand Elmira Suites is more than a place to sleep. Its elegant comfort, service and convenient location make it a memorable choice for business travelers and tourists alike.

We were five people heading to istanbul and had booked a suite for three plus a double room through booking.com. Our genius status came with a promised upgrade for the double room. But when we arrived at 4:30 pm, we were told the suite had a problem and couldn't be rented. Their alternative was two double rooms at a higher price. When we objected, they pointed out that the new arrangement could accommodate six people, which we didn't need. We asked to see the suite and were still willing to stay in it despite the problem, but they refused. It seemed obvious that someone else had been given our suite. They could have told us that morning so we could consider our options, but only informed us on arrival. After a long trip we were tired, and it was already late. We might have accepted the higher price if management had treated us respectfully or offered compensation. Instead, the manager wouldn't come speak with us and sent the receptionist to tell us to take the offer or look elsewhere. We left because of the rudeness and lack of manners. The hotel shows zero respect for customers, and even accuses them of lying in replies to previous reviews. This is the worst hotel anyone could book. I wouldn't wish this treatment on anyone and want to warn future Grand Elmira guests.

I'd be glad to stay here again. The bed was comfortable, the bathrooms and showers were excellent, and every room has free WiFi for computing. Rooms and service were superb, everything felt classy and well done. The staff were very friendly, and it was certainly clean.

I was unsure at first after reading earlier reviews, but the friendly staff, good service, cleanliness and location all pleasantly surprised me. It was good value for money, and I'd stay here again if I'm in Istanbul.
