Green Mansion

My family is very happy with the service here. I’ve been coming to this hotel for many years, and they’ve never let us down. Everything has been wonderful, and I fully support them.

You can find other places at the same price with much more comfort and better service. The apartment smelled bad because of the bathroom. It’s right beside a tower, so you can hear the prayers at set times. The first one is at 6.07 in the morning, which is when you’ll definitely be woken up.

We had a very spacious room that worked well for our family, and the hotel itself was pleasantly quiet. The daytime staff member on duty was particularly good at fixing problems quickly, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for getting around on foot: most major sights, restaurants and shopping areas are nearby. It’s a busy part of Istanbul, but still felt manageable. Pedestrians should keep an eye out, though, as drivers can be careless. Our stay was let down by several things. The room’s air conditioning didn’t work at all, and there were no spare pillows. When we asked for some, they came without covers. Breakfast ran only from 8:00am to 10:00am, and if you were still eating after 10:00am, they wouldn’t even offer tea. The breakfast itself was a basic Turkish spread with small portions, no meat, and we often had to ask for refills. The night staff also seemed a bit rude.

Breakfast was the best part for me: there was a wide variety each day, and everything we tried was delicious. The property was stunning, and I was amazed when I first saw our very large, comfortable room. The woodwork and metal fixtures were gorgeous. It’s in a quiet part of town, still within a reasonable walk of most attractions and sights, with local eateries and a grocery shop nearby. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting or staying in Istanbul.
