Hanende Boutique Hotel

Doğan’s abi hospitality is a big reason I’ll return whenever I’m in town. He’s generous, kind, and makes it clear he cares about guests, always going out of his way to help. The rooms were comfortable and consistently spotless, so the place felt like home. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

The 24-hour front desk made me feel secure throughout the week, and the welcome from evening receptionist Kheireddine was warm. The owner, Br. Dogan, was kind and courteous, and the staff were attentive and friendly. At Hanende Hotel in Fatih, Istanbul, I had a nice stay in a cute boutique hotel offering luxurious rooms at a fantastic price. My room was impeccably clean, and daily service kept it that way. It had toiletries, a bidet, water bottles, a fridge, a hair dryer, and an elevator was available too. Overall, a very good experience. I’d stay again and recommend it to visitors to Istanbul.

Our room was comfortable and nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly and attentive to the details. Hanende Hotel was in a peaceful, charming spot close to Istanbul’s main attractions. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it.

The shower kept clogging and leaving a large pool of standing water, and the owner would not address it. He also refused extra blankets. When we asked, he got angry and shouted at me to cut the stay short and leave. He would turn off the AC while we were out for the day, and verbally berated my daughter more than once, saying she was “just a girl and doesn’t have a right to speak.” He seemed to own the place and was a Turkish-Iranian man who didn’t give his name. We had booked partly because free breakfast was advertised, but there was no breakfast at all. We had four rooms for ten nights, yet staff refused to clean them or provide fresh shower towels and water bottles. The staff were incredibly rude and mocked my family and our religion. If I could give zero stars, I would. Had we been refunded, I would have left the first night. Save your money and book somewhere else. His miserable character will make you regret staying here.
