We spent five nights in the ground floor, three bedroom apartment, with two people in each room. It was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning was a real help. When we arrived, our hosts welcomed us and gave us water and fruit. They also run a little shop in the same building, with plenty more shops nearby. We could walk to Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace, and Blue Mosque, as well as restaurants and souvenir shops away from the busy Hippodrome area. I’d recommend it to groups like ours, young people who enjoy exploring on foot.

Staying in Fatih made getting around by tram and Metro easy. The grand bazaar, Bayezid, Mehmet Pasha, and Eminölü are all within walking distance, and there are loads of cafes and restaurants. My tip is to skip the places that look expensive and try the full backstreet restaurants instead. You’ll pay less for more food, and the quality can be even better. The home provider and proprietor offered good service, so it was a good experience overall. I’d suggest improving the wifi reception, adding a smart TV, and getting a better refrigerator.

Just a few minutes on foot from the main tourist spots and restaurants, and the apartment was very clean. Melek, the woman who did the cleaning, was really, really friendly and nice. I’ll definitely come back.

I stayed for 17 days and found it comfortable, with lots of space. The staff are amazing and the services are quite good. I recommend it.
