Hotel Peninsula

The staff were amazing, from reception to the cooks and cleaning team. They helped with everything, including activities, transport, information, and recommendations. We stayed four nights, and the terrace was perfect for a Bosporus view. It was a really good spot for breakfast and relaxing.

I really appreciated being able to have breakfast before check-in, even though I technically wasn’t entitled to it. After a long night bus ride, that was a nice gesture. My room was ready early, so I could use it at 8 a.m. It was clean and comfortable, and although I was in the basement, the wifi worked perfectly. I stayed three nights and loved it. The price is really good for the location, five minutes from Hagia Sofia, and breakfast is included. I’d totally recommend it for a solo trip to Istanbul.

There’s no elevator, so bear that in mind if you’re carrying heavy luggage. The rooms are compact, and breakfast could offer more variety, though it was decent. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is hard to beat, right in the city center among lots of cafes, restaurants, and shops. A cozy hotel and a nice, convenient place to stay in Istanbul.

The breakfast terrace had a stunning view, and breakfast itself was varied, with a good choice of vegetarian options. The staff were friendly, and we were very happy with our three nights at this small, lovely hotel in Istanbul’s Old Town. The downsides were the call to prayer at 5 a.m., which we heard clearly because the loudspeakers were right outside our window, and a light above the mirror that couldn’t be switched off. We were very satisfied and would recommend it. Great value for money.
