The only real plus is that everything is nearby. The room was so cramped that moving around or opening my suitcase was difficult, and the tiny closet couldn’t hold my things. The floor was disgustingly dirty, with different kinds of hair on it and even on the bathroom walls. The maid swept rubbish under the bed, and knocked only once before coming in while we were still asleep. There’s no way to lock the door from inside. The night receptionist called us cheap because we wouldn’t pay a higher rate to stay another night in the same room. Breakfast wasn’t bad, but it was identical every day, so we eventually stopped eating it. The internet connection was very poor. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially for a family holiday.

We had to cancel our booking and spend hours looking for another place in Istanbul, then the owner still charged us a late cancellation fee. I’d booked through the app for myself and my three sisters, and one reason we chose this hotel was the listing’s promise of an elevator. Two of my sisters have medical conditions that make stairs difficult. When we arrived, we found that reaching the elevator meant first climbing 8-10 steep stone steps with no handrails. I told the owner the listing hadn’t mentioned this, but he brushed me off, said it wasn’t his problem and that he didn’t care about guests’ health conditions. He also said he didn’t think those details mattered. The elevator was there, but it wasn’t accessible for my sisters. The owner’s attitude was unacceptable, and I hope this helps other guests avoid the same experience.

The phone didn’t work, so any time we had a problem we had to go downstairs. There was no water, and we were told to buy it from a grocery store. The toilet was old and didn’t work properly. The rooms looked nothing like the pictures, and there was barely space to walk.

After booking, I got worried when I read the reviews here, but having stayed at the hotel, I can’t confirm what people wrote. It feels like some guests want to pay very little and get luxury in return. The price is good, and my room was simple, clean, and had everything working. The staff looked after guests around the clock. Breakfast was fresh, and the view from the breakfast area was amazing. The location is perfect for tourists. I’ll come back. Thanks so much!
