I stayed here for about a month because I had to. On the third floor, you're lucky to get any sunlight. They take a deposit equal to the room price, then don't give it back, and insult and slander you on top of that :D The dorm's average age is 35, and the staff are around 70. There's no elevator, so you carry your suitcase up and down four flights of stairs yourself while they just watch. Some days I couldn't stay in the room because it smelled like sewage. If you're a university student, don't expect much from your roommates. A 35-year-old woman pressured me to "get up at 9 am on a Saturday and go to my school to take my exam." People showered and dried their hair at 2:30 am. They took pictures of me while I slept and then used them against me. If you want to study late, you have to do it in your room, and after 1 am you can't even go out to get water. At breakfast, finding bread and cheese is lucky. People who say I never came down should ask the girl studying at Fenerbahçe if I did :) We had agreed on a month, but when I said I was leaving at the end of it, they made a fuss, saying "you caused me to lose my job, you damaged my belongings," and refused to pay us. Later, when I asked to see the things they said I'd damaged, they changed the subject. They gave me my belongings in a black bag in the room, apparently three days after the agreed date. We said they could deduct the cost from the deposit, but we still didn't receive all the money we were owed. This place gets praised so much, but it deserves to be judged. If you've got any sense, don't even consider staying there.
Updated February 2026: the owner keeps messaging a 20-year-old woman on different dates even after she moved in. Owning hotels doesn't excuse running this place badly, and criticism comes with the territory. I still have the messages and recordings of the conversations you mentioned. Please don't provoke me. I don't want to expose you or your business. 😘 The breakfast was awful too, with moldy cheese and the same bread put out every day. I couldn't even eat breakfast. Food costs a lot, and there was nothing filling besides bread. When I brought that up, I got asked, “Do you eat bagels every day at home?” Laundry costs the equivalent of two bags of detergent. I was told to leave nice reviews and give five stars. You have to agree to everything to avoid trouble. The 70-year-old guesthouse owner says things like, “I can yell, but you can't.” I found out from a female staff member that my room had been changed and that I'd have to pay extra, but nobody had told me. If you accept disrespect and yelling, you're apparently the best, including employee Fatma Hanım. The explanation was, “She's been our employee for 9 years, so she has the right to be disrespectful.” They're picky about which students they accept, yet despite taking all that money, they're still mean. Shame on you at your age. Anyone with sense can see they shouldn't come here.
There's no elevator, so students have to haul their huge suitcases up the stairs themselves. The rooms are cramped, stuffy, and awkward to use. Food and laundry cost extra, and they seem interested in charging for everything rather than caring about the students. My nephew lasted only a month. Breakfast was terrible, just tomato juice, watered-down tomato paste, and leftover jam. There wasn't one thing suitable for a student. The manager, Ms. Gülnur, showed no business ethics. The deposit still hasn't been returned. When you try to claim what you're owed, they resort to slander and try to obstruct you once things get serious. If even a small problem comes up, they disappear instead of trying to fix it. This feels like a business taking advantage of students and families in a difficult position, not a dormitory. Stay away. I wouldn't recommend spending even one day here.
The atmosphere is really warm, and the girls are lovely to talk with. Ms. Gülnur gives special attention, and the staff are friendly. I'm staying here now, and the dorm is clean and feels comfortable, almost like home. It's better than I expected. I definitely recommend it.
The breakfast choices are limited, and when we raised the problems, nobody offered a solution. My daughter stayed here for a month and left with plenty of issues. She had to follow her roommate's rules, including putting up with a hairdryer at 2 AM and being told she couldn't leave her slippers under the bed. There isn't an elevator, so you carry your suitcase up and down four flights yourself. When she wanted to leave, we couldn't get her deposit back in full. We struggled to recover half. It was hard to reach an agreement with the owner, Ms. Gülnur, who acted like she was handing over her own money rather than returning what we were owed. I don't recommend this place. Look at other dorms.
