The breakfast was very poor, and the few items on offer didn’t meet reasonable expectations. The room was tiny, worn, and far more outdated than the photos suggested. There was visible mold in the unhygienic bathroom, the ceiling was damaged and stained, and even the door handle looked dirty. The walls in both the room and bathroom needed fresh paint. The door let in outside noise and hallway light. The linens didn’t always seem fresh and weren’t changed regularly. Lighting was another problem: there was no proper ceiling light, just two small bedside fixtures, and no working switch. We had to unscrew the bulbs by hand to turn them off.

The staff were friendly, and the location and atmosphere were good. I had a pleasant stay, though a few wall pegs by the entrance and in the bathroom would have been useful for jackets. The inside walls aren’t soundproof, so you can hear everything from neighboring guests.

Even youth hostels I’ve stayed in were quieter. At this hotel, the receptionist kept us awake every night, either arguing with his girlfriend on a video call at 2 a.m. or just talking loudly. It was the worst hotel experience I’ve had, and I wouldn’t recommend spending so much money on such a horrible place.

The breakfasts were a letdown, with very little choice and only a few things that were actually edible. Our family luxury room didn’t meet expectations either: the kettle was dirty, there was no drinking water or tea, and the rug was dirty too, which seemed especially odd for this room category. Check-in made a bad first impression. We were given a different room from the one we’d booked and then asked to pay extra to change it. The cleanliness and service didn’t match what I expected from a luxury room.

We were in a great spot, and the next day the management brought a birthday surprise for my son and apologized for the trouble. I appreciated them making that effort. The night before, though, I checked in at 10:30 p.m. on Dec 21, 2025, and found the lift only went to the third floor while my room was on the fourth. I had to haul all four of my very heavy suitcases up myself, with no help at all. The hospitality could use some work. Thank you.
