Kaftan Hotel

Celil and the staff made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and eager to help. They went out of their way to make us comfortable, helping with directions and easily arranging everything from Turkish bath massages to airport transfers. Kaftan Hotel is in a great spot, a short walk from the city's famous mosques, the Grand Bazaar, and other major attractions, so exploring Istanbul was easy and enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thanks to Celil and the whole team for making our trip so memorable. We'll definitely stay here again next time!

The breakfast buffet upstairs had plenty to choose from, and I liked the little outdoor “garden” where you could make yourself some tea. Just skip the juice, though. It tasted like chemicals mixed with dish soap. We came to Istanbul for a short holiday. The desk staff member kindly helped us carry our bags to the room. Ours was below ground level, which made it a bit cooler in the hot weather. We did have to ask for extra towels and a few other things. The cleaner also came in despite our Do Not Disturb sign, which bothered us because we didn’t want someone in the room while we were out. Smoking got tiresome, though I expected that in Turkey.

Breakfast was fresh and pleasant, and the staff were consistently helpful and quick to take initiative. The hotel also felt like good value, especially in a city centre where so many places seem overpriced for what they offer. I was concerned before arriving because they hadn’t replied to my emails for months. Once there, I understood it’s a small hotel with a small team. It was clean and nice for a 3-star place, and we managed to fit all our suitcases into the room. I’d read complaints about room size, but for us it was fine. In the heart of the city, we wanted to spend most of our time out and just come back to rest.

Aidan was so friendly and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed every minute here, especially breakfast with that lovely sea view. The room was small, but really cozy, with a comfortable bed, hair dryer, air conditioning and all the supplies we needed.
